Right about now, every household is receiving their federal census questionnaire. It’s important to fill it out and return it. Why? The census attempts to count our nation’s population. The results of the census determines how hundreds of billions of dollars in federal spending are allocated each year — which communities and proposed projects receive funding. If our community is going to get its fair share, then we need to stand up and be counted, quite literally.
The Census Bureau has an online map that will allow you to track, in real time, our community’s participation rate. Check it out at: http://2010.census.gov/2010census/take10map/.
